Day of HIV prevention among teenagers and young people was held in Aznakaevo
On the eve of World AIDS Day (December 1), preventive measures have been launched in educational institutions in the city of Aznakaevo.
Prevention of HIV infection among adolescents and young people is important, as it is this population group that is most at risk of infection. Specialists of the branch of the AIDS Center in Almetyevsk conducted a large-scale campaign to inform high school students about HIV prevention.
The events were attended by 480 high school students of city schools, gymnasiums, as well as 156 students of the State Educational Institution of Higher Education "Aznakaevsky Polytechnic College". The head of the prevention department of the Almetyevsk branch of the AIDS Center, epidemiologist Alsu Rifnurovna Gazymova and medical psychologist Alyona Nikolaevna Zakieva told the students about the serious danger of HIV infection, about the ways of infection and spread of HIV infection, about preventive measures and individual protection, and elaborated on the concept of "emergency situation".
According to her, no one is immune from HIV infection, both adults and children can get sick. And in recent years, the main cause of HIV infection has been unprotected sexual intercourse, increasingly in the HIV epidemic.The citizens of the most active young age from quite prosperous families are involved in AIDS.
