Modern center for percutaneous coronary interventions has been opened in Chistopol

26 December 2025, Friday

A new center for percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) has opened in the Chistopol Central Regional Hospital.

Today, Tatarstan Minister of Health Almir Abashev visited the first patients.

Minimally invasive operations in the treatment of a wide range of cardiovascular diseases, including myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, and chronic coronary heart disease, will be available at the center.

The opening of the center is an important step in improving the accessibility of specialized medical care for residents of the Chistopolsky district and surrounding areas. The time of delivery of patients with acute cardiovascular conditions to the vascular center is reduced - from an average of 3 hours (Kazan) to 30 minutes (Chistopol), which significantly improves the prognosis in this category of patients.

Almir Abashev, Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan: "This is a long-awaited event. The first patient of the center underwent diagnostic tests. This is a wonderful gift on the eve of the New Year from the Rais of Tatarstan. Retrofitting of the center was carried out at the expense of the republican budget."
