Laparoscopic removal of kidney cysts is now available in Yelabuga CDH

The year 2025 became an important stage in the development of the surgical service of the Yelabuga Central Hospital, when a new direction was successfully introduced into the practice of doctors — laparoscopic excision of kidney cysts.
Previously, such interventions were carried out mainly in large republican centers, but now high-tech assistance has become available to resdents directly in their hometown.
Since the beginning of the year, specialists have already successfully performed nine such operations, and in one of the cases the size of the removed formation reached ten centimeters, and thanks to laparoscopy, even such a large neoplasm was removed in a low-traumatic way.
This modern method is an excellent alternative to open surgery, as instead of a large incision, the surgeon makes only a few small punctures, which ensures minimal injury and practically does not damage healthy tissues.
For the patient, this means a quick recovery and a return to normal life in the shortest possible time, as well as the absence of scars, since after healing the puncture sites become almost invisible.
The introduction of such complex operations became possible thanks to the renovation of the medical park and the purchase of high-tech expert-class equipment with the support of the hospital management and patrons.
