Kazan residents are invited to undergo fluorography in mobile X-ray facilities

World Tuberculosis Day is celebrated annually on March 24, the day when the bacterium that causes tuberculosis, Koch's bacillus, was discovered in 1882.

On March 24, Tatar-inform News Agency will host a press conference dedicated to World Tuberculosis Day.

In the period from March 24 to March 31, 2026, preventive actions are planned in Kazan and in major cities of the republic (Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Zelenodolsk, Bugulma), dedicated to the World Tuberculosis Day, with fluorographic examination of the population in mobile X-ray units. The examinations will be conducted free of charge.
