Mikhail Murashko introduced the new acting rector to the personnel of KSMU

Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Tatarstan Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin presented the new acting rector, Airat Farrakhov, to the staff of Kazan State Medical University. Mikhail Murashko stressed that today KSMU is rightfully considered one of the most respected in the country.

"Airat Zakievich has been officially appointed acting rector. He is an experienced leader who knows the region, the management system and regulatory framework perfectly, with a deep understanding of the challenges facing the education sector. I am sure that under his leadership, the university will maintain its achieved positions and, finally, continue its development," said the Russian Minister of Health.

Alexey Pesoshin noted that Kazan Medical School is widely known not only in Tatarstan, but also in Russia, and for many decades has been making a significant contribution to the training of medical personnel for the country.

"With the support of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the university implements a large-scale educational program and annually graduates more than 800 specialists, whose training is provided by highly qualified professors and teachers," said the Head of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

He noted that Airat Farrakhov is a graduate of the Kazan State Medical Institute.
