Work-shop on prosthetics of knee joint

From 11th till 13th of December, work-shop on prosthetics of knee joint to artificial joint implants made by Johnson&Johnson (USA) - P.F.C.SIGMA has taken place on the basis of OSC "Tatneft" of Almetievsk Medical unit. Together with clinic associate professor of Samara Medical University d.m. Dmitry Kudashev and orthopedists-traumatologists team of Medical unit under the direction of head of traumatologic unit Ildar Ismagilov the first 5 patients have been examined, consulted and operated. During the operation doctors had the possibility to improve their skills, technique’s nuances and the smallest singularities of this operation. In the postoperative period there are optimal conditions for patients’ rehabilitation and recovery.

The exchange of experience, scientific, creative and medical dialogues, acquaintance to the new and advanced methods have became the basis of the further fruitful cooperation, implementation of the advanced technologies directed on recovery of health of inhabitants of Almetievsk and Southeast part of Tatarstan Republic. The medical personnel of traumatologic unit of Medical unit will continue to accumulate the experience and skills, to expand professional and specialized contacts with clinics of TR and Russian Federation.

Endoprosthetics of knee joint is the operation on changeover of the basic damaged elements of joint by high-precision implants which have the anatomic form of healthy joint. Implants (endoprosthesis) are made from strong hi-tech materials, inert to biological liquids with high reliability indexes, safety and efficiency.

The need for this type of operations constitutes 1,5-1,7 persons on 1 thousand of population. This operation represents the example of hi-tech help and there are more than 1 million of endoprosthetics every year in the world.
