I congratulate you on a great holiday – Victory Day!
On this day, we pay tribute to the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. 700,000 Tatarstan citizens went to the front, and more than half of them did not return home. More than 6,000 doctors went to defend our homeland. And those who remained in the rear fought day and night for the lives of wounded soldiers in evacuation hospitals. More than 300,000 soldiers were treated in TASSR medical institutions, and most of them were able to return to the front.
We carefully pass on from generation to generation the memory of the heroic deed of the Soviet people. This is the connecting thread that unites our multinational people, which is of particular importance in the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.
Today, the participants of the Special Military Operation continue the work of our great compatriots. Just like many years ago, the country has rallied to protect our future. More than a hundred doctors from Tatarstan are doing their duty in the free medical zone.
Hospitals have been deployed in the republic to provide assistance to wounded soldiers. Our leading specialists are helping military personnel to return to combat missions. It is not for nothing that this year has been declared the Year of Military and Labor Valor in our republic! This is another reason to say words of great gratitude to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and those who serve today for the benefit of our Motherland.
