From June 8 to June 14, the Ministry of Health announced the "Week of informing about the importance of physical activty." Movement for a child is not just about "throwing out energy", but the basis of health: a strong heart and blood vessels, strong muscles and bones, weight control, better sleep and mood, better concentration and endurance. Let's answer a few questions briefly.
How much should I move?
- Up to 5 years of age: at least 180 minutes of activity per day (games, running, climbing, ball), preferably in short "portions" throughout the day. - 5-17 years old: on Wednesday, 60 minutes a day of moderate or high activity (outdoor games, running, cycling, swimming). It is useful to add strength exercises with your own weight 2-3 times a week. Why is it important not to "overdo it"? Lack of movement increases the risks of excess weight, posture disorders and back pain, reduces endurance and immune resistance, exacerbates anxiety and fatigue.
