As part of the Week of reducing mortality from external causes, we talked with the therapist of Mendeleevsk CDH, Fazliakhmetov Dinar Rustemovich.
This problem is particularly worrisome, because most of these cases are preventable, and young people often die.
According to Rosstat, the main external causes of death are:
· accidental alcohol poisoning;
· Road accidents and other traffic injuries;
· Suicides and murders;
· damages with unclear intentions;
· Falls, drownings, burns, and exposure to fire;
· Heat and sunstroke.
Alcohol is one of the key factors. It is important to remember: there are no safe doses, alcohol is harmful in any quantities! It is toxic to all organs, reduces control and coordination, provokes aggression and accidents. At the same time, not only drinkers suffer, but also innocent people around them.
Solar and thermal shocks
In the hot season, the risk of overheating of the body increases dramatically. Heat stroke occurs due to general overheating of the body (for example, in a stuffy room or during heavy physical work), and sunstroke occurs from direct sunlight on the head. This condition is extremely dangerous and can be life-threatening.
