The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Tatarstan Republican Organization of the Labour Union of Healthcare Workers of the Russian Federation have entered into an Additional Agreement on Amendments and Additions to the Current Sectoral Agreement for Organizations Under the Jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026-2028.
The new document is aimed at providing systematic personnel support for medical institutions, attracting young specialists, and creating favorable working conditions for healthcare workers with family responsibilities.
Support for healthcare workers with family responsibilities
An important innovation was the inclusion in the Sectoral Agreement of a set of social support measures for employees with families. This block was developed in accordance with the Recommendations of the Russian Trilateral Commission for the Regulation of Social and Labor Relations (RTC) dated November 29, 2024, No. 9pr.
Taking into account the specifics of the round‑the‑clock operation of medical institutions, the parties agreed to support the implementation of the employers’ corporate social policy in the following areas:
Improving working conditions: flexible work schedules and a special procedure for granting leave to employees who combine work in the healthcare sector with caring for children or elderly relatives.
Social compensation: developing programmes of material and non‑material assistance aimed at maintaining a balance between professional and family responsibilities.
The adopted changes will form the basis for updating collective agreements in the republic’s medical organisations. They are designed to reduce staff turnover, increase staff loyalty and ensure the continuity of medical traditions.
