Scientific conference «Multidisciplinary approach in treatment of stomach carcinoma»

Inter-regional conference «Multidisciplinary approach in treatment of stomach carcinoma» has taken place in Kazan.  Conference was opened by head physician of SAHI «Republican Clinical Oncologic Dispensary of TR Health Ministry», the principal non-staff specialist oncologist of Privolzhsky federal district of Russian Federation and TR Health Ministry, D.M., Professor R.Sh.Khasanov. Pressing questions of diagnostic and treatment of stomach carcinoma have been discussed in the conference.
Problem’s topicality of stomach carcinoma is evident. In 2013 case rate has constituted 26,5 on 100 thousand of population in Tatarstan Republic. In the list of the most widespread oncologic diseases the stomach carcinoma occupies the 6th place. For this reason specialists look for new methods of diagnostic and treatment of stomach carcinoma. A question of necessity of application of chemotherapy in treatment of stomach carcinoma was discussed most of all. The present conference was also dedicated to this question. 

The reports of following specialists of RCOD of TR HM have been in the program of the conference:

-The chief of immunohistochemical tumours’s diagnostic laboratory of RCOD of TR HM, D.M., Professor S.V.Petrov with the report about possibility of morphological and immunohistochemical diagnostic of stomach carcinoma.

-The senior lecturer of endoscopy, common and endoscopic surgery sub-faculty of SBEI APE КSМА, D.M., A.I.Ivanov with the report about early diagnostic of stomach carcinoma and possibility of endoscopic treatment of non-invasive tumors of stomach on the base of RCOD of TR HM with application of the newest diagnostic and treatment methods.

-The substituent of head physician on oncology of Moscow Municipal Hospital №40, D.M., Professor M.D.Ter-Ovanesov with reports about the modern classification of stomach carcinoma and the possibilities of medicinal therapy at patients with neglected stomach carcinoma.

-The principal oncologist of Kazan, managing oncology, radial diagnostic and radial therapy sub-faculty of SBEI HPE КSМU, D.M., Professor F.Sh.Akhmetzianov with report about methods of surgical treatment of patients with stomach carcinoma.

The conference has been finished by the active discussing of reports. The working constructive aerosphere has confirmed the necessity of consolidation of different specialists for struggle against stomach carcinoma.
