Pensioners of Medical unit have visited island-town of Sviyazhsk and town of Chistopol

Last week-end 30 pensioners of Medical unit of JSCo "Tatneft" and Almetyevsk   have made a fascinating tour of Chistopol and Sviyazhsk. They have visit the historical places of these towns.
The town of Chistopol was the first stop in the trip. The tour of the town has begun with sightseeing tour and has continued by visiting of Boris Pasternak house museum. Boris Leonidovich Pasternak is one of the greatest poets of XX-th century, the translator of William Shakespeare, Johann Goethe, the author of "Doctor Zhivago", the winner of Nobel Prize for Literature (1958).

Then pensioners have gone to the ancient island-town of Sviyazhsk, built many centuries ago in a place of confluence of Volga and Sviyaga. The construction of the town has begun by order of tsar Ivan the Terrible on May, 24th, 1551. The island is famous for the historical-architectural monuments of XVI - XIX centuries. Despite difficult and tragic destiny today the island revives thanks to the project of TR cultural heritage’s revival.
During excursion the group has visited the cathedrals, Assumption monastery, museum of Sviyazhsk history, stable yard and workshops.
 Pensioners liked the trip very much and thanked head physician Munir Zakirzianov for interesting and informative event. So last year pensioners have visited ancient town of Bulgar, Elabuga, Kazan and the Virgin Monastery of Raifa.
