Work shop from leading world surgeon Diego Gonzalez Rivas took place in Kazan

Unique operations with participation of the leading world surgeon, one of founders of one-port access in thoracal surgery, Rivas Diego Gonzalez (La Koruna, Spain) have been demonstrated for the first time in Tatarstan at the support of TR Health Ministry, Educational Centre of High Medical Technologies and Republican Clinical Hospital  within the limits of work-shops. Operations of the leading Spanish surgeon have been made together with doctors of thoracal surgery unit.
Tatarstan Republic is one of leading regions of the Russian Federation in sphere of health care with high level of technical and technological equipment of medical institutions that allows to develop innovative directions in medicine in our clinics. The technique led by Diego Gonzalez in Kazan, is the first similar operation in Russia.
The first operation without intubation with application one-port thoracoscopic access had the goal to delete of a part of lung (lobectomy).  Uniqueness of this technique is that the patient is on independent breath without intubation narcosis.
 Diego Gonzalez has started to use the technique of the one-port approach without an intubation in April, 2014 in one of the Chinese clinics. 

Press conference for representatives of mass media with participation of Diego Gonzalez and doctors from thoracal surgery of RCH has taken place in Educational centre of HMT in the end of two day program of work-shops. The moderator of event was the general director the centre Leonid Galinsky. The first deputy of Health Minister Sergey Osipov has solemnly opened the conference.

In press conference Diego Gonzalez has told about development of the given method and possibilities of its implementation in practice. The work-shop became a good platform of experience’s exchange. The technique has series of advantages, both to doctors, and for patients. It gives the chance to perform a wide range, both diagnostic procedures, and operative measures at the patients having contraindications to application of common narcosis.
