State Duma held parliamentary hearings on the bill on palliative care. More than 700 participants from 74 regions of the country took part in the large parliamentary hearings on "Legislative support of palliative care in the Russian Federation". Specialists in palliative care, hospice staff and volunteers shared their experience in the field of palliative care. Tatarstan was represented at the event by State Duma Deputy Boris Mendelevich, deputy head physician of Republican Clinical Oncology Center, Chairman of the Angela Vavilova Foundation and Kazan hospice Vladimir Vavilov and chief freelance specialist in palliative care of TR Health Ministry Ilsur Shaymardanov.
