82,596 people in 47 of the 53 countries in the European region contracted measles between January and December 2018 according to World Health Organization. The disease ended fatally in 72 cases. The situation on measles in Ukraine, Georgia, Albania, Montenegro, France, Greece, Romania and a number of other countries is extremely unfavorable.
