Workshop "Features of diagnosis and treatment of gout" took place in Novosheshminsk village. Physicians and paramedics of Primary Health Center of Novosheshminsky district took part in workshop.
The incidence of gout in Russia has increased several times over the past decade and continues to grow steadily. The peculiarity of this disease is that in addition to joint damage, patients have arterial hypertension (in 36-41% of cases), metabolic syndrome (72%), obesity and dyslipidemia. The vast majority of patients with gout (about 2/3) die from cardiovascular diseases associated with atherosclerosis.
