A hybrid operation on heart is performed in Tatarstan for the first time

In medical-sanitary station of the Open Society "Tatneft " and of Almetyevsk there was a significant event. For the first time in history of modern medicine of the Republic of Tatarstan on September, 7th, 2012 in medical-sanitary station hybrid operations on heart and aorta are performed. This has marked the beginning of a new age of development of a specialized hi-tech medical care in a southeast and in the Republic as a whole for patients with cardiovascular diseases. The surgery team from the Russian Cardiologic Research-and-Production Complex of Rosmedtechnologies (Moscow) together with cardiosurgeons of the medical-sanitary station of the Open Society "Tatneft " and of Almetyevsk under the guidance of the academician of Russian Academy of Medical Science and Russian Academy of Science Renat .Akchurin has performed 2 operations on transcatheter prosthetic repairs of the aortal valve of patients with a critical stenosis and an operation of endovascular prosthetic repairs on a thoracal part of an aorta to the patient with dissecting aneurism. Earlier such patients had to undergo the most complicated lasting many hours operations with large traumatic surgical approaches in conditions of artificial circulation and hypothermal protection with a plenty of complications during operation and the nearest postoperative period. Besides, performance of such operations is limited by the presence of an accompanying pathology - a diabetes mellitus, an obesity, a cardiac and respiratory failure and old age of patients. Operations on endovascular prosthetic repairs of the aortal valve and aorta allow to treat these patients with a minimum number of complications.

 All the three operations have passed successfully. The first operation TAVI (the international name of operation on endovascular prosthetic repairs of the aortal valve) has been performed on the patient G., 1938 year of birth, living in Leninogorsk Region of RT who has worked for 35 years as the nurse at CRH. The second operation TAVI is performed on the patient, 1948 year of birth, also living in Leninogorsk Region of RT. For the first time in Russia he was implanted the valve №29 of « Edvards Lifescince »  company with transapical access. The third operation on endovascularprosthetic repairs of the thoracal part of aorta (EVAR) has been performed on the patient, 1952 year of birth, living in the city of Almetyevsk. It is necessary to note, that the third operation has ended in 17:30 in the evening that is a parameter of high professionalism of the operational team and the qualitative organization of work.
