Republican Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital was named after Professor E. V. Adamyuk

SAHI “Republican Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital of TR HM” was named after the founder of the Kazan ophthalmological school, Professor E. V. Adamyuk.

Emilian Valentievich Adamyuk (1839-1906) was a Russian ophthalmologist, the first Professor of ophthalmology at Kazan University. His works are dedicated to various branches of ophthalmology. E. Adamyuk created a school of oculists, among his students were: Professors: A. G. Agababov, K. Kh. Orlov, V. V. Chirkovsky, etc.
