Benign tumors of the ampoule of the large duodenal papilla (LDP) of duodenal intestine are rare and represent 0.4%-0.12% of all tumors of the gastrointestinal tract. However, malignant transformation occurs in 60-65% of cases, so the conventional treatment tactic is to remove them.
