4 March 2020, Wednesday

Antonina M. Tokareva, born in 1919, entered Nizhnekamsk CRMH in serious condition. Surgeons diagnosed an acute intestinal obstruction. An experienced surgeon Albert R. Arslanov observed the patient.

Acute intestinal obstruction is a fairly common diagnosis at this age. Therefore, emphasis is placed on conservative treatment. We had about 6 hours to decide whether to operate on the patient or not. In this case, we started with drug therapy, with stimulation of intestinal motility. But there was no effect. Therefore, it was decided to operate on the patient.
