Valentina V. Mozhnaya, a pediatric TB specialist at Nizhnekamsk TB Dispensary, has dedicated her whole life to medicine - she has been treating children for 46 years.
Valentina was born in 1948 in the Elabuzhsky district. Her mother worked as a rural paramedic, and little Valya dreamed of becoming a doctor. She graduated from a medical school with the profession of medical assistant and the pediatric faculty of Kazan State Medical Institute with honors. She worked for a year as a nurse in Mendeleevsk and wanted to get to Nizhnekamsk, but it did not work out - there was no shortage of specialists then. And representatives of the southern republics, where there was a high infant mortality rate, arrived before graduation and invited young doctors to work.
