Doctors of the 7th clinical hospital of Kazan helped the patient to deliver the child until the end of pregnancy, despite a large cyst of the right ovary. This was told to the correspondent of IA "Tatar-inform" by the head of the Department of pregnancy pathology of Kazan hospital No. 7 Farid Fatkullin.
The patient was admitted at the 24th week of pregnancy, and the doctors decided to monitor her condition. "Intra-abdominal bleeding from a ruptured cyst can lead to hypoxia of the child if it occurs outside of the hospital," Fatkullin added.
The removed cyst was 20-25 centimeters long. The child was born healthy and full-term.
