The Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Fatikhov paid a working visit to Nizhnekamsk and observed the medical-midwife station's construction in the village of Sukharevo and significant repairs of two buildings of the Nizhnekamsk Central Municipal Multifunctional Hospital.

Now the medical-midwife station in Sukharevo is located on the second floor of the local community center, where the head of the station and a paramedic serve the population of two villages of 537 people. Last year, 2,627 people visited the paramedic and midwifery center, and 179 people were served at home. The paramedic in charge Nina Bitkina has been working at this station for 34 years. After graduating from a nursing school, she worked in Kazan in the intensive care unit, and then returned to her native village.

A new, convenient building built nearby. 4.9 million rubles were allocated for this purpose as part of the program to improve primary health care for the Republic of Tatarstan population. In September, gas, electricity, and water will be provided here. It is planned that the medical-midwife station will receive its first patients at the end of autumn.

Repairs in the infectious and surgical pavilions started under the program of major repairs of hospitals, which was formed on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan for the next five years.

The surgical pavilion will undergo significant repairs.  The main operating room, which is designed for nine operating rooms, is planned to be equipped with a complex of "clean rooms." There will be a new x-ray machine on the first floor. The early stage of repair work is scheduled to be completed in November, and the second stage will begin next year.
