Today, on the World Autism Awareness Day, hospitals and polyclinics of the republic supported the event "Light It Up Blue". During the year, there were a hundred more children with autism spectrum disorders in the Republic of Tatarstan.
In Tatarstan, the number of children suffering from autism spectrum disorders has increased over the past year. This was reported to the correspondent of the news agency "Tatar-Inform" by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan.
"In the Republic of Tatarstan, as of January 1, 2021, 870 children aged from 0 to 17 years inclusive, suffering from autism spectrum disorders, were registered," the Ministry noted.
In 2019, 761 children had such a diagnosis, in 2018 — 617.
According to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan, the largest number of children with pathology lives in the major cities of the republic: Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk.
Today is the World Autism Awareness Day. Medical organizations of the city and the republic supported the event "Light It Blue" in solidarity with children with autism spectrum disorders and their families. The main goal of the campaign is to draw people's attention to the problems of autism.
The Republican Clinical Hospital of Tatarstan has already joined the campaign: the whole Department of Neurosurgery is working today in blue clothes, and the main building of the clinic is highlighted in blue.
Also, the Kazan ambulance station posted a photo of paramedics in blue with blue toys in their hands on their Instagram. The 16th and 18th hospitals of the capital of the republic also joined the event.
The infectious Diseases Hospital of Naberezhnye Chelny shared a picture of the doctor from the "red zone". Tatarstan polyclinics also supported the campaign.
