There is a prejudice in society that a pathologist is a person who dissects corpses. This is not quite true. 90% of the “patients” of a clinical morphologist are living people. The morphologist's task is to diagnose patients based on biopsy material. Most oncological diseases can be detected on the basis of a biopsy investigation.
