Neonatologist Day is celebrated on April 5. It was established in Russia in 2014 by the initiation of parents whose children were saved by professionalism of neonatologists.
SAHI Leninogorsk CDH congratulates neonatologists with professional holiday.
Today let’s present Liliya Nabieva. She is the Head of the Department of Neonate of Central District Hospital of Leninogorsk.
Liliya Akdasovna decided on her choice of profession in early childhood. Liliya Nabieva entered the Pediatric Faculty of the Kazan State Medical Institute in 1985.
Newborns require special care. They are the most unusual and gentle patients. Neonatologists are engaged in their care in the first days after birth, as well as examination. This is a special profession. There are cases when mothers cannot be close to their children from birth, then the gentle and kind hands of a neonatologist come to the rescue.
After the baby leaves the womb with the help of vaginal delivery or C- section, the baby falls into the caring hands of neonatologist. Then the first hygiene of the baby is carried out: the body is wiped dry, the excess umbilical cord is cut off. Next the weight and height indicators are recorded. And then they put on the first accessories: diaper, cap and napkin. In the early days, the hearing is checked, neonatal screening is performed to detect 36 types of the disease and the necessary vaccinations are given with the consent of the mother.
“Neonatologist is an interesting profession. Now it is well developed. New equipment appears and lectures of leading specialists are available. Therefore, I would advise anyone who decides to devote himself to pediatrics not to be afraid, and most importantly, to open his heart and follow his vocation”, shared Liliya Akdasovna Nabieva.
