Drug Abuse Prevention week has been announced in the Republic of Tatarstan from 23 to 29 June. Drug addiction is a disease characterized by a pathological attraction to drugs, leading to severe disorders of body functions. It affects not only the physical, but also the mental state of a person, causing irreparable harm to the brain and nervous system.
Depending on the types of drugs used, some areas of the brain responsible for mental operations and memory may be affected, leading to decreased cognitive abilities, difficulty remembering, decision-making problems, and other undesirable consequences.
