KCMC has started the examinations of children on a new retinal camera, received in the framework of the national project «Healthcare»

Children's Hospital of KCMC of Naberezhnye Chelny has started the examinations on the new medical equipment-digital wide-angle retinal camera "RetCam Shuttle". The equipment was received within the framework of the regional project "Development of children's health care of Tatarstan Republic, including the creation of modern infrastructure for providing medical care to children" and the national project "Healthcare".

The retinal chamber is made for examination of premature children with retinal diseases. It allows to identify retinopathy and its development stages.  Retinopathy is an eye disease that occurs as a result of impaired development of the retina (light-sensitive area of the eye) in premature infants.
