Protect yourself and others: preventive measures of droplet and airborne infections

One of the most common ways of infection expansion is droplet and airborne transmission.

Flu, whooping cough, measles, rubella, chickenpox, tuberculosis are transmitted by droplet and airborne spread.

The most effective way of preventive measures is vaccination.

Non-specific ways are:

  • respiratory protection with a mask when communicating with a sick person or by using a handkerchief;
  • reducing visits to crowded places during periods when the incidence of influenzaand ARVI increases;
  • washing hands with soap before eating, after visiting common areas;
  • eating healthy food, enriched vitamins and microelements;
  • physical activity, walks on fresh air;
  • healthy sleep;
  • airing of the premises, regular wet cleaning.

 

All this measures as a whole will help to decrease the risk of droplet and airborne infections.
