How to behave in the heat, so as not to end up in a hospital bed?

9 July 2020, Thursday

Our questions were answered by the cardiologist of NCRMH Choduraa Sotpa.

“The heat is very tiring for the body. People sweat a lot and lose moisture. This can lead to dehydration. When we lose moisture, the blood thickens, this process contributes to thrombosis, which increases the risk of strokes and heart attacks in people with cardiovascular diseases, and atherosclerosis of the arteries in the elderly.”

* Drink more water. The volume of liquid consumed must be at least two liters per day.

*In the daytime, at the peak of the heat, it is better to be in the shade.

*Wear hats.

*Run and walk in the morning and evening.

* I advise hypertonic patients to measure their blood pressure more often.

* Eat more fruits and vegetables, they contain liquid.
