Urology department (surgical department No. 2) was opened on the basis of Children's Municipal Hospital in February, 1995. Two rooms for patients with urological profile, which were located in the surgical department N1, were not enough. The new department was headed by surgeon-urologist Rais S. Garipov.

The 9th Academician M.I. Perelman's Russian-European educational symposium on thoracic surgery “Around Thoracic Surgery” will take place in Kazan from February, 27 to 29.
